Cookie Policy
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files sent from the site to the user's computer (usually to the browser), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the site by the same user on his/her next visit. A cookie can not retrieve any other data from the user's hard disk nor transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user's web browser. Some of the functions of cookies can be delegated to other technologies.
Information related to your preferences, such as browsing pages or downloading files from our site or other similar actions performed by browsing our site can be recorded through cookies.
First or third party cookies
Cookies can be either first or third party, where "first party" means cookies developed by the site controller, while "third party" means cookies developed by third parties with respect to the site controller.
Nature of cookies
There are different types of cookies:
- Technical cookies Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the service provider of the IT company specifically requested by the subscriber or user to provide this service” (see, Art. 122, paragraph 1 of the Code).
They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the website's controller or operator. They can be divided into:- browsing or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate for access to restricted areas); they are in fact necessary for the proper operation of the site;
- analytics cookies, similar to cookies where technicians used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate, the number of users and how they visit the site in order to improve site performance;
- function cookies, which allow users to browse the website based on the selected criteria (i.e. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to them. The user's prior consent is not required for the installation of these cookies (more information in section Manage Cookies below).
- Profiling cookies Profiling cookies are designed to create profiles related to the user and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the same when browsing.
Consent is required to used profiling cookies. According to provision no. 229 of 8 May 2014, the user must be able to authorise or refuse consent to install profiling cookies if they are present.
In the case of third-party cookies, the site does not have direct control of individual cookies and cannot control them (or cannot install them directly or delete them). You can still manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions below), or the sites listed in the "Managing cookies" section.
Users are therefore advised to check the website of the third party indicated below.

- temporary or session (session cookies): they are used to store temporary information, allow you to link actions performed during a specific session, and are removed from the computer when the browser is closed;
- permanent (persistent cookies): they are used to store information, such as the login name and password, so that the user does not have to enter them again each time they visit a specific site. These remain stored on your computer even after you close your browser.
Management of cookies
You can disable cookies on the site by downloading the appropriate Ghostery software (https://www.ghostery.com/products/?utm_source=ghostery.com&utm_campaign=products_menu) for your browser and disabling the use of single cookies. Or you can activate the "anonymous browsing" mode - it is a function that allows you to browse without leaving a trace in the browser of navigation data. This function only allows you not to keep browsing data in the browser.
